About me
I was an Associate Director at Mackellar Architecture, Newcastle upon Tyne before moving to Darlington and forming my own practice: Grove Studio Architecture.
Whilst at Mackellar Architecture I specialised in Rail Architecture, but gained wide ranging experience in many sectors both in the UK & internationally ; transport, housing, masterplanning, care, health, community
Now at Grove Studio Architecture my projects tend to be more personal, working closely with individual clients to ensure every project is special. I like to take on interesting projects so whether your project is large or small it will get the attention it it deserves. I understand that one of the biggest parts of my job is listening and interpreting a clients wants and needs and turning them into a viable project.
I studied architecture at Newcastle University & RIBA North and am an experienced Chartered Architect with projects in the UK and abroad.
I have a comprehensive knowledge of managing complex architectural designs with direct experience of successful project delivery and managing thriving client and project team relationships. Which in plain English just means I can pull together and work with whatever team your project needs.
My portfolio includes award winning specialist supported housing, Care Homes, health, private housing, community, master planning and transport architecture.
As well as house refurbishments, extensions, conservation schemes, accessibility advice & alterations, sustainable design upgrades
I have a wide range of experience; working on traditional, design and build and partnering contracts as project lead to collaborating on large-scale international projects as part of complex multi disciplinary teams. I can also understand how overwhelming even a small project can be for clients so I am here to walk them through every step that they need me to.
