Rebuild and modernisation of an original sheep barn in North Yorkshire
The original barn had charm and character and the clients didn't want to lose this however it was slowly falling down. Unfortunately its position next to the road and a 400 year old walnut tree made rebuilding tricky.
We upgraded the structure to meet modern building regulations, incorporating features to make it more useful for contemporary family life and future proofed the site with solar panels and electric vehicle charging. We also retained the character and charm through beautiful materials and detailing and ensured the Walnut tree was retained and preserved.
